Here you will find useful things about model aircraft such as the Guide to using balsa wood and a host of other items. Model gliders, pylon racing, model aircraft plans, pretty much anything about radio controlled models will try to be covered here over time.

Most of the models designed and built here are made from balsa wood, occasionally reinforced with carbon fibre tow for extra tensile strength or Aramid for durability. For covering typically laminating film is used and then finished up with a few pieces of signwriters vinyl. Fiberglass with water based polyurethane clear coat is often used as well to reinforce fuselages or for the purpose of durability (belly landing planes need all the durability they can get).
