Terms of Service
Effective Date: April 2026
1. Service Terms & Minimum Fee
- Minimum Service Fee: All mail-in repair bookings are subject to a $75 minimum fee. This fee covers diagnostic time, professional assessment, and return shipping (P&P).
- Payment of Fee: The minimum fee is payable regardless of whether the device is repairable. It is credited toward the final cost if a repair quote is accepted.
- No Guarantee: Due to the nature of board-level electronics repair (especially following liquid damage or previous repair attempts), payment of the diagnostic fee does not guarantee a successful repair outcome.
2. Repairs & Shipping
- Data Integrity: We do not guarantee the safety of data. Customers must back up all critical files before shipping. Paul L Daniels is not liable for any data loss.
- Shipping Risk: We recommend using insured, signature-required post. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit to or from our laboratory.
- Abandonment: Items left unpaid for more than 90 days after the final invoice or notification of completion will be considered abandoned and may be disposed of or sold to recover costs.
3. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paul L Daniels shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to: lost profits, loss of data, business interruption, or the cost of procurement of substitute goods.
4. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to a refund for the service or a re-performance of the work. This represents the total limit of our liability regarding service failures.
